Didn't make it to the Fall Institute in Tucson, Arizona? That doesn't mean you can't partake in one of the most interesting highlights of the event: a panel discussion on ACOs led by Eliott Fisher, the man behind the Brookings-Dartmouth ACO Pilot Project.
Fisher was joined by representatives from the three pilot institutions: Steve Hester from Norton Healthcare; Palmer Evans from Tucson Medical Center; and Mark Werner from Carilion Clinic.
The hourlong event covered a multitude of topics, from the need for patient accountability to the regulatory struggles and legal challenges faced when creating an ACO.
Don't miss the question and answer session at the end, where the participants are asked to define an attribution model and discuss the potential effects on pediatrics and emergency departments.
